The spirit of giving was on full display Saturday night as the Bruce Grey Bulls U13 A Team got together to support a critical cause during the Owen Sound Attack game on November 8, 2025.
The young players participated in the Attack's annual Hockey Fights Cancer Fundraiser, lending their muscle to the wildly popular Chuck-A-Puck event held during the intermission. As hundreds of foam pucks rained down onto the ice, the Bulls team went onto the ice to gather over 1000 pucks thrown by enthusiastic fans.
This energetic intermission activity proved to be a major success, with the Chuck-A-Puck event alone raising more than $7,000 for the fundraiser.
The funds raised will go directly to support the Canadian Cancer Society's Wheels of Hope program. This vital initiative provides essential transportation for local residents undergoing cancer treatment and appointments, helping to alleviate a significant burden for those navigating difficult health journeys.
Bruce Grey Bulls U13 A Team were honoured to support the Attack in their efforts to contribute to such a meaningful community program. The event offered the young athletes a chance to see the powerful impact of teamwork extending beyond the rink and into the community.
The successful fundraiser underscores the commitment of the Owen Sound Attack and local minor hockey teams like the Bruce Grey Bulls to giving back and supporting those in need throughout Grey and Bruce counties.
